Top 2013 Prospect: Matthew Thomas. At 6-foot-3 and 205 pounds, Thomas was probably the most athletic player at the event. He's long and lean and extremely explosive. He can rush the quarterback from the edge. He can drop into coverage. He can make plays all over the field. He has tremendous short-range burst and the ability to really run around the entire field. The Booker T. Washington prospect is an elite level player and has offers from everyone. Miami and Alabama seem to be the early front-runners.
Sleeper: Lance Virgile. At 6-foot-3 and 215 pounds, Virgile played on a loaded St. Thomas Aquinas team last season and sort of flew under the recruiting radar a bit. He has an ideal frame that could enable him to grow into an edge pass rusher. He's long and covers some ground. He has a great attitude and is very coachable. N.C. State and West Virginia are his BCS offers and he should land several more in the next several weeks.
Top Notable: George Williams. At 5-foot-11 and 225 pounds, Williams lacks ideal size like some other kids have but he's one heck of a football player. He's excellent on the field and he's excellent in these types of settings. He flies around. He's very explosive. He's athletic enough to even play some receiver at times. Williams has early offers from schools like Miami and Louisville and should continue to emerge as a major college prospect.
