Coleman Joins WVU Class

DeShawn Coleman, who piled up almost 2,400 rushing yards as a junior, committed to West Virginia on Saturday night after the Mountaineers' spring-ending Gold-Blue game.

Deshawn Coleman, who visited WVU earlier this year, accepted the school's scholarship offer and ended the recruiting process early.

"I was at West Virginia two weeks ago and they offered me," Coleman told earlier this year. "I really liked it a lot there. Coach (Dana) Holgorsen said he really liked me and that he would really like to coach me. He told me they need me there."

COleman is a shitfy, productive runner who accounted for 34 touchdowns while being named's player of the year in 2011. He avceraged an eye-popping 14 yards per carry while being named to the Associated Press first team all-state squad. He had offers from Penn State and Purdue, as well as interest from at least a dozen other Big Ten, ACC and Big 12 schools.
