Four-star Allen on VT visit

After releasing the ranking of his top three programs, did Jonathan Allen's visit to Virginia Tech move anything around on his list

Stone Bridge (Va.) four-star defensive end Jonathan Allen was at Virginia Tech this past weekend for a spring game that never happened due to inclement weather. Fortunately, it didn't damper his day in Blacksburg.

"We waited to see if they would play it, but it didn't happen. It was no big deal," said Allen "The best part was seeing the campus, really. It was really nice. I really liked it a lot, and chatting with Coach Beamer for a little."

Prior to his trip to Blacksburg, the Hokies came in at number three on his list, behind both Florida and Alabama. This hasn't changed.

"They are still third, behind Florida and Alabama."

Florida and Alabama remain tied, Allen said, taking up both the number one and two spots. Allen, a military brat, was born in Anniston Alabama. He left at a young age, but hopes to visit with the Crimson Tide early May, though a date has yet to be locked down. Prior to Virginia Tech, he made a trip to Florida, where he told FOX Sports NEXT that he loved the coaching staff and state-of-the-art facilities. Stay tuned for more.
