Cali WR checks out Texas A&M

Santa Monica (Calif.) wide out Sebastian Larue spent some quality time out of state last weekend. He flew out to Texas A&M on Friday and stayed until Sunday.

Sebastian LaRue has been active in taking visits this winter. He attended USC and Arizona State Junior Days and also took an unofficial visit to UCLA.

"I had a great time at Texas A&M, it was a really good visit," Larue said. "I spent a lot of time there and feel like I saw everything I could possible see. It's a beautiful place and I really liked the campus. I had two of my coaches come with me including one who played at A&M so he showed me around quite a bit.

"They had a scrimmage on Friday and I really like the offense. It's basically what Coach Sumlin did at Houston, and that's a pretty wide open, spread it out offense that is very receiver friendly. I spent a lot of time with the coaching staff, that was the highlight for me. The OC, Kliff Kingsbury was a great guy as well and I really connected with him."

Larue said another benefit is the relationship he already has with his main recruiter with the Aggies.

"Marcel Yates is one my favorite coaches and gave me my first offer when he was at Boise State," Larue said. "I love that guy man, he's a good dude and we have a very strong relationship. I've always said location doesn't matter to me and the SEC is a great conference and that adds even more intrigue for me.

"I know it would be a good fit for me but I'm not close to narrowing things down yet. I'm still going to weigh my options and take my official visits. I'm going to Washington this weekend for Junior Day and I'm excited about that visit as well. I'm going solo on this trip but I did that when I went to ASU so I'm fine with it. The Husky coaches have been recruiting me as hard as anyone so I'm looking forward to seeing the school up close."
