Evans Nearing Big Ten Offers?

Chicago Harlan (Ill.) junior OL Ki-Jana Evans is closing in on his Big Ten first offer.

Chicago Harlan three-star offensive lineman Ki-jana Evans is picking up steam in his recruitment. Currently standing with three offers (Eastern Michigan, Western Michigan, and Western Kentucky), the spring evaluation period has been a busy one for him.

"Illinois came to my school today," he said. "They said I'm the next guard if they lose one, so I'm next on board."

The 6'5, 280-lb Evans says Michigan told him something similar and many other schools have been up to Harlan.

"Western Kentucky and Western Michigan game and I have a lot coming in the very near future: West Virginia, Arkansas, Toledo, Ball State and Vanderbilt, and I just got some mail from Tennessee."

This summer, Evans plans to be busy on the camp circuit in hopes of adding more offers.

"I'll be at Illinois, Southern Illinois, Western Michigan, Eastern Michigan, the Northwestern Showcase, Northern Illinois, maybe Michigan and West Virginia."
