Atlanta NFTC: Stock Up

BUFORD, Ga. - Find out who impressed Scout enough at the NIKE Football Training Camp on Saturday to see their stock rise right here.

Over 200 prospects attended the camp at Buford High School on April 21 and a number of them really impressed the Scout team. Find out who saw their stock rise here:

Marcus Adams - DT - 6-0/267 - East Point, Ga.-Tri-Cities
Current Ranking on Scout: NR
What Stood Out: Adams is a little undersized, but he showed good quickness off the ball, active hands, and good power on Saturday. He had success on the inside and outside and he made things look somewhat easy by the end of the event.
Recruiting Notes: He is drawing a lot of interest, but the only school to offer is Ole Miss according to his coach.

Chuck Baker - WR - 6-1/185 - Slidell, La.-Salmen
Current Ranking on Scout: No. 77 WR
What Stood Out: What stood out most about Baker was his hands. He has long arms, he attacked the ball, and his hands were very stick throughout this event. He showed quick feet and a nice burst going into and coming out of his breaks too.
Recruiting Notes: Committed to LSU

Shamire DeVine - OT - 6-6/335 - East Point, Ga.-Tri-Cities
Current Ranking on Scout: No. 28 OT
What Stood Out: DeVine clearly was the top performer on the offensive line. He was up at left tackle, he showed why, and he continued to show improvement. He could move up in the next Scout rankings. He was named MVP of the offensive line.
Recruiting Notes: DeVine says he is open right now. Georgia, Georgia Tech, Tennessee, and many others have offered.

Joshua Dobbs - QB - 6-3/190 - Alpharetta, Ga.-Alpharetta
Current Ranking on Scout: No. 54 QB
What Stood Out: The ball sizzled out of his hand all afternoon on Saturday. With the zip, he threw with accuracy, and he was on his game from start to finish. His offer list will increase in the coming months.
Recruiting Notes: Yale is the most recent school to offer Dobbs, so that gives you an idea of his intelligence. Arizona State, Boston College, and Illinois have offered as well.

B.J. Hammond - WR - 6-4/204 - Gadsden, Ala.-Gadsden City
Current Ranking on Scout: NR
What Stood Out: The big wide receiver just kept getting open on Saturday. When Scout had their eyes on him, he was thrown the ball, and he made the play. He got off the line well, he found the opening, and he continued to stand out all afternoon.
Recruiting Notes: A decision could be coming soon for Hammond and Auburn and Mississippi State are the front runners.

Ryan Jenkins - WR - 5-10/191 - Marietta, Ga.-Lassiter
Current Ranking on Scout: No. 96 WR
What Stood Out: His speed showed Saturday and couldn't be covered at Buford. His stock has been on the rise since his performance at the MVP Camp on April 1, so look for Jenkins' ranking to improve in the near future. He is so quick out of his breaks, he is stronger than many think, and when the ball is within reach, forget about it.
Recruiting Notes: Missouri, UCLA, and Wake Forest have offered Jenkins recently and Clemson was first to offer last year.

David Johnson - OLB - 6-2/235 - Lithonia, Ga.-Lithonia
Current Ranking on Scout: No. 64 OLB
What Stood Out: Johnson is full of energy and he played with a lot of it throughout this event. He and DeVine went at and both had their moments. Will he be a rush end or a linebacker on the next level? That is the question right now, but he will be a contributor no matter where he plays. He is versatile, he adapts well, and he plays hard.
Recruiting Notes: Louisville, Mississippi State, Southern Miss, and Vanderbilt among others have offered Johnson.

Parker McLeod - QB - 6-3/190 - Marietta, Ga.-Walton
Current Ranking on Scout: No. 58 QB
What Stood Out: McLeod really got into a rhythm on Saturday and it really showed during the half skeleton. He is an efficient passer, he is gaining confidence each time he competes, and he is a signal caller that will see his stock rise.
Recruiting Notes: Boston College, Louisville, and Oklahoma State have offered.

Shaquille Wiggins - CB - 5-10/162 - Tyrone, Ga.-Sandy Creek
Current Ranking on Scout: No. 11 CB
What Stood Out: Not many make it look as easy as Wiggins. He is so light on his feet, he flips his hips with ease, and he looks like he toys with receivers at times on the football field. He still has to get stronger and continue to add weight, but not many can straight up cover like him.
Recruiting Notes: Committed to Georgia

Jonathan Wynn - DE - 6-4/220 - Stone Mountain, Ga.-Stephenson
Current Ranking on Scout: No. 70 DE
What Stood Out: Wynn's quickness off the ball is what helped him win during the one-on-one session. He dipped his shoulder and got around the offensive tackles more times than not. He still needs to add strength and weight, but his speed and ability to get to the QB stood out Saturday.
Recruiting Notes: Committed to Vanderbilt

Deangelo Yancey - WR - 6-2/197 - Atlanta, Ga.-Mays
Current Ranking on Scout: NR
What Stood Out: Yancey stood out at another camp and he just made plays. He is not fast, but quick, and he is good at catching the ball in traffic. He is strong, physical, and he was tough to slow down at the NFTC.
Recruiting Notes: No offers yet, but schools in the ACC, Big East, and SEC are showing interest.

Note: Max Staver would have been on this list also, but he was already listed as someone with his stock up in the Elite 11 feature.
