Jefferson will attend TCU camp

Denton (TX) Guyer wideout Ellis Jefferson has picked up five offers and is receiving interest from several.

Denton Guyer receiver Ellis Jefferson has enjoyed the recruiting process so far. He should be. Several teams are showing the 6-foot-4, 190-pounder interest.

Jefferson has added five offers so far and is getting interest from several others including Baylor, Oklahoma State, Oklahoma, Texas Tech and TCU among others.

"Colorado, Purdue, Mississippi State, Tulsa and UNT (have offered)," Jefferson said.

Jefferson says one school has come by to see him during the spring evaluation and others are expected to come by Guyer next week.

Texas Tech just came out and that's it for right now," he said. "OSU and OU said they will be out next week."

With plenty of interest coming from several programs, Jefferson says he doesn't have a favorite at the moment and is looking mostly at a team's tradition when deciding.

"I don't have a favorite school right now," he said. "I'm looking at the history of the school, the tradition. I'm looking at education and location, it really doesn't matter about the location; I'm fine with going away from home."

With teammate Patrick Morris committing to TCU a few weeks ago, Jefferson says he has received interest from the Frogs and plans to attend a camp over the summer.

"I got a camp invite for this summer so I'm going to go to that," he said. "Hopefully they like because I like the way they play and everything."

What does he like about TCU?

"I like how they're close to home so my parents can come see me. I also like the quarterback they had last year and the way they played the offense, it was all balanced out with how they passed and ran the ball."
