Two for the Road

The University of Wisconsin's recruiting class received a big boost Sunday, as three-star defensive end Chikwe Obasih joined four-star Ohio receiver Rob Wheelwright in committing to the Badgers.

MADISON - Recruiting just got a big kick forward for the UW coach Bret Bielema and his staff.

After the Badgers landed their top target at wide receiver, Walnut Ridge (Ohio) Rob Wheelwright, the Badgers received a commitment from three-star defensive end Chikwe Obasih.

"I'm proud to say that in 2013, I'm going to be part of the Wisconsin Badgers," Obasih tweeted.

The 6-3, 240-pound Obasih chose the Badgers over offers from Iowa, Iowa State, Minnesota, Ole Miss, Purdue and Vanderbilt.

Obasih and Wheelwright join Rochester (Ill.) linebacker Garret Dooley, Eagle River (Wis.) athlete Austin Ramesh and Pewaukee (Wis.) tight end T.J. Watt as the five current members of the Wisconsin 2013 recruiting class.
