A Solid Bruin

Keyante Green is glad to have the recruiting process behind him and is excited to focus on UCLA. He chose the Bruins because he says he knows he will thrive there. Green has yet to see the campus of the school he will head to on the next level so he is looking forward to a trip out west soon.

Keyante Green has no hesitation is saying he's solidly committed to UCLA.

"Oh yea, I'm one hundred percent committed and I'm solid to UCLA. I feel that I made the right choice for me."

Green still hasn't seen UCLA in person but he's been on the phone with his new coaches frequently.

"I talked to them a week ago. I was just saying how I can't wait to go to campus and see everything and meet the coaches in person. I'll be doing that in June and then I'll go back in September when I have a bye week at my high school."

Green's main contact at UCLA is head coach Jim Mora. He says talking to coach Mora lets him know he's valued.

"I like talking to coach Mora a lot. We talk about what I'll do there. He wants to put me at runningback mostly and I will also play receiver in the gun. They like how I can block too. He's excited to just get me out there."

Green says he still plans to take all his official visits so he can get the full experience out of his recruitment.

"I'm committed to UCLA but I do want to visit Purdue and Cincinnati especially. I may go to Vanderbilt and FSU too."

Green knows he has a great deal to look forward to in California...

"I can't wait to get out there for football and school but I also know there are a lot of superstars out there and I heard there's a great burger place called 'In and Out.' I'm definitely going to have to check that out."
