Wheelwright's HS Coach's Perspective

Wide receiver Rob Wheelwright made his commitment to the Wisconsin Badgers Sunday afternoon. FOXSportsNEXT caught up with the junior's Walnut Ridge (OH) Coach for his take on Wheelwright.

6-foot-2, 170 pound junior Rob Wheelwright made a trip to Madison for Wisconsin's Spring Game last Saturday. Following the visit, the wide receiver verbally made his commitment with the Badgers. Wheelwright's Walnut Ridge (OH) Coach Byron Mattox gave his take on the junior.

"He'll have a great senior year first. But when he gets up there, he'll come in ready to play. His brother played professionally and he works out with him a lot. He'll come in and fit in. He can go deep, yet take the short pass. He'll be able to fit in with whatever the coaches want him to do."

Mattox added that as great as a player that Wheelwright is, he's an even better person.

"He's a real likeable kid. Everybody that talks about him has positive things to say. He plays basketball and runs track too so he's really active. He's an all-around good kid."
