Palazeti Grabs First Offer

Flint Powers Catholic (Mich.) guard Vinnie Palazeti picks up his initial offer and he might not be done yet.

Flint Powers Catholic guard Vinnie Palazeti had a big start to the week, landing his first offer on Monday.

"I got offered by Ball State," he said. "It's great. I mean, it was a great feeling knowing that everything I've done paid off. He told me they're recruiting me as a guard. I haven't yet, but I plan on visiting very soon."

That should not be the last offer, as there are several other schools very interested in the 6'4, 280-lb Palazeti.

"Cincinnati was in last week and I'm always talking to Coach Stripling down there. I talked to the Buffalo coach. He said he's on the road still, but when he gets back, they'll go over more film. They already watched film and are planning on offering me. He said they are going to offer me in the next week or two."

Over the weekend, Palazeti visited Michigan State for their spring game.

"I talked to Coach Barnett after the game. They just said it's really important to go to camp. They're still looking at me, watching film, but it's important to come to camp."

Palazeti says he will camp at Ball State, Michigan, Michigan State, Notre Dame, Syracuse, Iowa and Cincinnati, with room for potentially, a couple more.
