Harrison Recruitment Taking Off

After a slow start Huber Heights (OH) Wayne quarterback Javon Harrison is starting to see his recruitment take off. Who just offered Harrison and who might be next?

Wednesday turned out to be a great day for Huber Heights (OH) Wayne quarterback Javon Harrison as he added his biggest scholarship offer to date.

"I just got off the phone with Boston College," said Harrison. "I threw for assistant coach (Sean) Devine last week and he said they liked me but they were going to go watch a couple of other quarterbacks first. He said to call him this week to learn more."

This afternoon Harrison made the call and got the news he was hoping for from the Eagles.

"So I called him today and it was good that I called him," he said. "He told me they were going to have a coaches meeting tomorrow about all the people they were going to offer and he told me I was one of them."

For Harrison the offer is one he's very intrigued about early in the process.

"I've never been to Boston before so I'm planning on taking a visit there in June to see everything," he said. "They sent me an admissions booklet and I didn't know they were such a prestiges school. It cost like $55,000 per year to go there so that is crazy."

While Boston College added their name to his list today, other programs are also showing greater interest.

"Indiana came in last Friday and they said they really like me," said Harrison. "So I'm planning on going to camp as head coach (Kevin) Wilson wants to see me throw. I'll probably go there this summer as they have a really nice campus and some real nice facilities."
