6-foot-4, 225 pound junior Evan Jansen already holds an offer from Buffalo. On Wednesday evening, the tight end picked up his second.
"Akron offered me yesterday," said Jansen. "It was a surprise because I had never talked to them before, but my coach said a few days ago that they were close to offering me. The location is definitely nice since they are so close. One of my teammates, Dillon Kern, is going to play for them next year."
The tight end admits that they Zips are still building their program up, but does appreciate how close the campus is to his home.
"Last year's record isn't very appealing, but being close definitely speaks out to me. I also might be able to play as a freshman or sophomore."
Jansen also has been hearing from Indiana, Northwestern and Duke.
With two offers in the book, the junior is excited to see what will come his way next.
"It feels great to have offers coming in. Hopefully it is the start of many more to come, so that's a good sign."
