Anzalone, a four-star prospect rated as the No. 10 outside linebacker in the class, confirmed with Scout.com's Brian Dohn that he is no longer committed to Ohio State.
"The decision is based on what's best for my future and my family," Anzalone told Dohn.
Anzalone the reputation as a must-have linebacker, but he also was quite the effective running back for his high school team. Anzalone made 54 tackles on defense and scored 13 touchdowns and averaged 11.6 yards per carry as a running back on offense.
Tuesday the Buckeyes also lost a verbal pledge from Wilson (N.C.) Hunt defensive end/linebacker Lewis Neal. However, Neal said he'd continue to keep Ohio State in consideration when continuing his recruiting process.
