One of the more intriguing prospects in Ohio for the 2013 class is Mykel Traylor-Bennett. The Reynoldsburg athlete took part in the NFTC in Columbus, Ohio and FoxSportsNext.com caught up to get the latest.
When you stand 6-foot-3, 195-pounds with athletic ability you're going to get noticed. That is the case for 2013 wide receiver Mykel Traylor-Bennett
out of Reynoldsburg (OH) High School who looked to turn heads during the NFTC stop in Columbus, Ohio.
How did he do on the field?
"I did good in the drills and stuff," said Traylor-Bennett. "I dropped one ball when we were doing seven-on-seven so I don't want to think too much about that. But I did ok today and leave knowing I can do better and will keep working."
With a hand full of offers, Traylor-Bennett added a new one this week.
"I was just offered by Eastern Michigan," he said. "I've also been offered by Minnesota, Syracuse, Toledo, Kent State, Bowling Green and Northern Illinois."
While excited about the offers already on the table, camp season is around the corner and there are four main camps being looked at.
"Right now I'm planning on attending Ohio State, Cincinnati, Indiana and Michigan State's camp this summer," said Traylor-Bennett.
Because of his frame and athletic ability some college programs will work with Traylor-Bennett and try to make him a more polished receiver. However, several members of the Fox Sports Next team feel a move to safety could be in his future.
