Redding, 5-foot-10, 190-pounds, earlier showed well at both the Best of the Midwest Showcase and the Raw Talent Sports Camp. Last Saturday, he was one of the top runningback prospects at the Nike Football Training Camp in Columbus, Ohio.
"I had a great time competing here at Nike, just like I do wherever I go," Redding stated. "I'm not intimidated by older players, or players high ranked than me. I just come out to compete and do my best, and I always give 100%. I loved this Nike camp and the great talent I saw here. I'm willing to go anywhere to prove myself."
His hard work is paying off and college recruiters are taking notice. Redding landed his first offer this past week.
"I just received my first offer, and it is from Indiana," he exclaimed. "It makes me feel great, and the feeling is amazing. They have good facilities, and I like the offense they run under Coach (Kevin) Wilson. I'm going to be there on June 16th for a visit."
"I've heard from Pittsburgh, West Virginia, Ohio State, Michigan, and Alabama," he added. "I'm going to go to camps at Alabama and Ohio State for sure, and those are my favorites, along with Notre Dame. Hearing from Alabama and having them want me to come to their camp just blew me away, because they're the best there is. I plan on going to a lot of camps and trying to prove myself."
Redding, who rushed for over 1,400 yards with ten touchdowns last season in eight games, transferred from Austintown Fitch following his freshmen season.
