Welsh Adds Two More

With back-to-back major offers Springboro, Ohio offensive lineman Sean Welsh is starting to learn how quickly things can change in the world of recruiting. Fox Sports Next checks in with Welsh to get the latest.

For Springboro (OH) offensive lineman Sean Welsh the past few days have seen the winds of his recruiting change path.

"My head is starting to spin as these offers continue to come in," said Welsh. "I'm going to start going crazy."

Adding offers from Iowa and Miami have really changed the way Welsh is looking at where he stands.

"I've been to the state of Florida before but I've not visited Miami," said Welsh. "From what I've been told Miami is one of the best schools in Florida, so I wouldn't mind taking a look and seeing what the university has to offer."

As for Iowa, Welsh is excited about what he's heard so far.

"I've only heard great things about Iowa," said Welsh. "I've yet to go out there but (assistant) coach Brian Ferentz is really a cool guy. I've not met (head coach) Kirk Ferentz yet, but look forward to doing so. Coach (Brian) Ferentz came out to my school and watched me run through a few drills and I'm definitely excited to see where the process goes with them and everyone else."

What are the chances Welsh visits both programs?

"I would like to visit both programs," said Welsh. "Throughout this process I don't want to write anybody off until I've had a chance to meet their coaches and talk with their head coach to see what they have to offer. "I really want to hear everybody's story before I make a decision. But it will all depend upon what my family has going on and my parents."

Has Welsh and his parents discussed the distance away from home they would be comfortable with?

"They would like to come to my games," said Welsh. "But it will all depend upon the school itself and what they have to offer. If I can see myself going to that school and being able to compete and be successful that is going to be important. I wouldn't mind the distance, but I'm going to have to do my homework and go there and meet everybody and check everything out before I consider it."

While excited about all the offers he's added, Welsh is still waiting to hear from his childhood favorite.

"Right now I'm just waiting to see what happens with everyone," said Welsh. "But it would be cool to see what Ohio State does. I grew up as a little kid watching the Buckeyes and admit that it would be nice to see something happen with them.

"But as I get older and get more into this process I've become more unbiased. Growing up loving the Buckeyes I though anybody who was a Michigan fans was a devil worshiper. But now, believe it or not, Michigan is one of my favorite schools as I love what they have to offer. So there is no frontrunner or anyone in particular that I'm waiting to hear from. I'm just staying patient and seeing what else happens."
