Good News for Arnold

The Encino (Calif.) Crespi safety Brandon Arnold got his first FBS offer on Monday and more schools are taking a closer look...

Encino (Calif.) Crespi safety Brandon Arnold has been one of the better performers this spring on the camp circuit.

But before this week, only South Dakota and South Dakota State had offered the three-star.

Finally, on Monday, his first FBS offer came in, much to his relief.

"I got offered by Hawaii," said Arnold. "I'm real excited. Hawaii is a nice offer."

A host of schools stopped by Crespi on Monday, with several more there to see Arnold and teammate Tyler Foreman, another three-star safety.

Arnold is hopeful a few more specific schools get involved.

"I'm just hoping I can get Oregon, Washington, Boise State and Arizona," said Arnold.

Arnold, who's played with 1925 this spring, said a few schools in particular could be close.

"Hopefully, Washington, Oregon and Oklahoma are the next offers," said Arnold.

Brandon is in his eighth year with Scout.com and FOXSportsNext, currently as a National Recruiting Analyst and West Regional Manager. Prior to joining the Scout Recruiting Team, he was a team recruiting writer.  He's been covering recruiting for the Scout Network since 2003.
