2013 Intro: American Heritage (Fla) WR

Tyler Carmona is a standout wide receiver from American Heritage High in Plantation so lets take a closer look at him as a prospect.

Name: WR Tyler Carmona

School: American Heritage HS (Plantation, Fla)

Size: 6-5/195

2011 season stats: Carmona finished his junior season with 40 catches for 731 yards and 10 touchdowns.

Grades: 3.4 GPA/1450 SAT score

Recruiting: "My favorite college team growing up was Miami but my favorite team now is North Carolina," Carmona said. "North Carolina, Penn State, Georgia, and FSU (are my top choices)."

"I want to feel comfortable in my college," said Carmona, who is still waiting for his first offer.

As a Prospect: Carmona has the size to be a very good possession receiver in college. If he's able to gain enough weight, he could even become a pass-catching tight end down the road. He put up good production numbers as a junior last season and he's an excellent student. He runs good routes and has soft hands. In other words, he has a lot of the qualities you look for in a Division 1 wide receiver prospect. He's getting looks and the offers should start coming sooner rather than later.
