Pac 12 Latest Offer for Wilson

Fox Sports Next has the update on The Kinkaid School wide receiver Macan Wilson from Houston, Texas. His recruitment has picked as spring continues and a Pac-12 program was in town recently and decided that Wilson would look good in their uniform. Find out more in the Fox Sports Next feature…

Coming into spring, Houston (TX) Kinkaid wide receiver Macan Wilson already had a couple of Division I offers. Of course, he has been working to grab a couple more. On Wednesday, he was able to do that.

"The coaches from California came by and talked with my high school coach. Later on, the head coach called my coach and told him that I had an offer," Wilson said. "I hope to be able to get up to Cal this summer, since I have the offer now. It's a new one so I haven't had the chance to plan anything yet."

So a West Coast trip could be in the near future for Wilson. It won't be the first time he has crossed state lines. The 6-foot, 180-pound Wilson has already visited Northwestern, a program that has already offered, Rice and Texas Tech. The latter two programs are showing some interest.

Rounding out his offer list is New Mexico, but Wilson also has Oklahoma State, Texas A&M, West Virginia and Washington State recruiting him as well.

"I feel like recruiting is going well and it's picking up. Hopefully, I can have a few more options before spring is finished," Wilson said.

Wilson finished last season with 91 catches for 1,607 yards and 25 touchdowns. Most programs are recruiting him to play in the slot at receiver.
