Four-Star Noel Ellis has Top 5

Fox Sports/ spoke with Noel Ellis, Sr., the father of Edna Karr (Algiers, La.) four-star CB Noel Ellis, and you can get the shutdown corner's top five schools inside. Which schools made the cut and which two programs in particular are leading the pack?

"Recruiting is heating up," said Noel Ellis, Sr., when asked about his son, four-star cornerback Noel Ellis. "He's getting new offers by the day."

Which schools make up the top five of the nation's 25th-ranked CB?

"Tennessee, Texas A&M, Auburn, Nebraska and Colorado," responded the father, who was a star football player at Tulane University (and an excellent prep basketball player who helped Edna Karr to a state championship win over now-defunct McCall of Tallulah during the 1990s.)

"Tennessee and A&M are at the top of the list. Those two and Auburn are ahead.

"Our sights are really set on the SEC for college. Noel is enjoying the process and will visit Tennessee and A&M, and possibly Alabama this summer. He's also going to the Nike Football Training Camp in Memphis (next month) and is looking forward to competing there."

Edna Karr, located on the West Bank of New Orleans, has reached the Class 4A state championship game in each of the last two years, and the Cougars are loaded to make another run at the finals with Ellis, four-star TE Standish Dobard (Miami commit) and '14 stars Devante Noil (QB/WR) and Gerald Willis (DL) all returning for head coach Jabbar Juluke.

Ellis was a first-team all-state selection last year, along with Noil and '13 DT Titus Charles.
