Coaches Want German to Throw

Fox Sports Next has the update on Cy Woods quarterback Nate German from Houston, Texas. In the midst of spring football, the Cypress area star talked about practice and what's the latest in his recruitment. See what all he has going on in this Fox Sports Next feature.

After a nice showing at the Nike Elite 11 Camp and improvements this spring, Houston (TX) Cy Woods quarterback Nate German is confident that an offer is in his near future.

And while many seem to be on the fence about extended that first offer, many have stated that there are a few things that they would like him to do before they offer. Like many players in the same situation, the coaches want to see him in person on campus.

"I am hearing from a lot of programs. Some have come by the school this spring, but the coaches have said they want me to come to their camps," German said. "They want to see me throw."

The coaches have spoken and German has listened. Coming up for the summer, the 6-foot-2, 195-pound German plans to hit up camps at Rice, and many of the other one-day camps throughout the Lone Star State.

But he may plan to go to a couple other places beyond the borders of Texas too.

"There are some out-of-state programs recruiting me also. Schools like Arizona, South Florida and Arizona State have shown some interest too," German said.

German said that Wake Forest, Iowa State has been showing the most interest as of late. He said that the Cyclone coaches came by recently and wanted to watch him throw. TCU and Texas Tech said some of the same.
