Thomas Out To Prove Himself

Trei Thomas knows people have doubts about his size, but the Kent Roosevelt wide receiver is determined to answer those questions. Thomas holds two offers to date, and is looking for more.

People tend to doubt the ability of Trei Thomas, mainly because of his size at 5-foot-10, 160-pounds, but a check of the tape reveals to the go-to wide receiver for Kent (OH) Roosevelt.

Thomas is willing to show up anywhere to show off his skills, from the Nike Football Training Camp to the individual college camps. He holds two offers and is hopeful more could be on the way.

"I have two offers right now, from Kent State and Akron," Thomas stated. "I've been to both schools already on visits, and liked both schools a lot. My coach says there are other schools asking about me, but I'm not really sure who they are."

"I'm going to go to the Michigan camp for sure, and they want to see me in person," he added. "I will also go to both Kent State and Akron, to get to know those coaches better. I know with my size that people will need to see me in person, and that's no problem at all."

Thomas showed well at the recent Nike Camp in Columbus, featuring the ability to separate and catch the football. As a junior, he had 46 receptions for 836 yards, with 12 touchdowns.
