SoCal DB racking up the offers

While his talented teammate and cousin Steven Mitchell has been getting most of the headlines at Mission Hills (Calif.) Alemany, defensive back Devin Ross has quietly racked up a handful of scholarship offers himself.

Devin Ross is a talented cornerback whose stock is definitely on the rise. Colleges have been flocking to Alemany and the athlete is now holding six scholarship offers.

"Hawaii was my first offer and that one still means a lot to me," Ross said. "I also have Minnesota, Utah, Iowa State, Boston College and Nevada and I'm hearing from a few other schools so hopefully I'll have a couple of more offers soon.

"Right now, I like Hawaii and Utah and those are two schools I know I want to visit. I'm still pretty open and don't know exactly where I want to go but I do like the Pac 12 a lot. I'm going to do some summer camps but I'm not sure which ones yet, still sorting that out."

Ross said his childhood favorite has always been USC but knows it's tough to get an offer from the Trojans right now.

"I heard they don't have a lot of scholarships to give out this year," Ross said. "I grew up a big fan and I might try and camp with them if I can. They have a great program but I'm not really hearing from them right now. I'm just going to go through the process, take my visits and see how things work out."
