Cox Keeping Busy

Draper (Utah) Juan Diego linebacker Dakota Cox has kept up a schedule full of unofficial visits and hosting coaches from a long list of programs…

Draper (Utah) Juan Diego linebacker Dakota Cox has been flooded with recruiting contact so far this spring, something he hopes will turn into an offer down the road.

"Things are going really good, I went to Oklahoma, Tulsa and TCU recently," said Cox. "Boise State, Utah, Colorado Mesa, Southern Utah, Stanford and Arizona have all stopped by my school."

Cox is showing no signs of slowing down, with more visits scheduled this week.

"Colorado is coming to visit next week. SMU and Washington have been talking to me," said Cox.

Cox is still waiting for his first offer, but put forth a guess as to which school could pull the trigger first.

"SMU, the coach was really interested," said Cox. "He said he really thought I could play. It would be a good place to play."

Cox has spent time evaluating each of the programs that have showed interest and talked about who and what stands out.

"Everybody knows about the academics at Stanford, but the staff there really stood out to me," said Cox. "At SMU, I have a really good connection with coach Mason."

Cox has ambitious plans for the summer.

"I am going to try and get to camp at all of the schools I mentioned before," said Cox.
