Two More Big Ten Offers For Booker

Akron St. Vincent-St. Mary linebacker Dante Booker might be Ohio's top overall prospect for 2014, and college coaches have taken notice. Booker now holds five offers, with the two latest also coming from the Big Ten.

One of the top sophomore performers in Ohio last season was Akron St. Vincent-St. Mary linebacker Dante Booker, and he established himself as one of the top 2014 prospects in the state.

College coaches have certainly noticed, and Booker was offered previously by Ohio State, Indiana and Illinois. He has since added added two more Big Ten offers.

"My two latest offers are from Penn State and Michigan," Booker stated. "I really don't know too much about either school right now, to be honest. I'm visiting Michigan this weekend, and I'm excited to abut the opportunity to learn more about them."

"I'm hoping to be able to visit Penn State in the near future, but nothing is set up yet," he added. "I could be camping this summer at Ohio State, Michigan and Penn State, but I need to talk to my parents about that."

Booker, 6-foot-3, 210-pounds, racked up an amazing tackle total of 179 last season in 13 games for the Irish. He also added 14 sacks, 17 hurries and four forced fumbles.

He recently competed in the Nike Football Sparq Combine in Massillon, posting an overall Sparq rating of 92.88. He was timed electronically in the forty-yard dash at 4.6.
