Scott Gets First, Hoping For More

The wait is over for 2013 receiver Craig Scott - Monday he received his first offer. He talks with Fox Sports Next about what the offer means to him heading into summer football camps.

2013 receiver prospect Craig Scott can breathe a sigh of relief – this week he got his first offer. South Dakota offered the Park Hill South (Mo.) junior Monday, and Moore said being first is a good thing in his eyes.

"It feels pretty good," he said. "That team has a big place in my decision making, the team that offers me first."

In terms of where he would fit in, Scott said he and the Coyote coaches are on the same page.

"We have talked a lot about where I fit in regarding if they would keep me at wide out or move me to slot, receiver." he said. "They said they would keep me at wide out. They want a guy who can stretch the field and has speed and can catch."

Scott plans to attend the Coyote's invite-only camp in July, and is looking forward to seeing what the school and program have to offer.

"I hadn't had a lot of background on them." Scott said. "I'm looking into it - looks like a really good program football-wise and academics-wise. I'm looking forward to learning more."

Scott also plans to attend camps at Texas Christian, Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Oklahoma State this summer. Getting his first offer before heading into the summer is a bright spot for Scott.

"It's definitely a confidence booster," he said of the offer. "During the process you sometimes want to get it over with, but you always want to take it slow and enjoy it while it lasts. It's definitely a milestone and it feels really good."
