Martin, Parker Land SEC Offers

Fox Sports Next has the update on Manvel wide receiver Kyrion Parker and junior tight end Koda Martin, both of which got good news recently from a couple of programs from the Southeastern Conference. Find out from where and more in this Fox Sports Next feature.

There's no doubt that the Manvel (TX) team is a program that has lots of talent. And with that, plenty of college coaches come in looking to get in on some of the team's top players.

This week, a couple players were offered.

"Wide receiver Kyrion Parker was offered by LSU on Wednesday. And junior tight end Koda Martin was offered by Ole Miss," Manvel coach Kirk Martin told Fox Sports Next. "Kyrion has also been offered by La Tech, which was his first."

The 6-foot-2, 185-pound Parker, who just recently started receiving offers, is in his first off season with the Manvel team and looks to make an impact on the team immediately. In the last Fox Sports Next update, Parker had no offers and was looking to camp at Baylor, SMU and Texas A&M.

As for Martin, a junior 6-foot-7, 248 pounds, interest in him has been high and will only continue to rise as coaches come by and see him as a great prospect who can play tight end, or grow into a solid left tackle. Colorado was his first offer.

Either way, they want in on him early.

"I think Oklahoma and Texas will offer soon too. (Assistant) coach (Tim) Kish was close to pulling the trigger on Koda as I spoke with him on yesterday," Martin said.

Texas Tech, Arkansas, Alabama and Auburn have shown lots of interest in Koda as well.
