Ohio QB Looking For More

Canton GlenOak quarterback Reid Worstell is looking to impress this summer at various college camps. He recently picked up his first offer, and is hoping for more.

Reid Worstell impressed last season as a first-time starter for Canton GlenOak, and the 2013 prospect also participated at the Nike Football Training Camp in Columbus recently.

"I thought I did well at the Nike camp, and I liked going against the top guys, like Malik Zaire," Worstell stated. "This year, I'm hoping to be more of a leader on the field, and I know our offense a lot better. I'm in the weight room trying to get stronger, and things are going great."

Worstell, 6-foot-3, 215-pounds, is attracting recruiting attention from top programs, and he currently holds one offer.

"I do have one offer, from Akron," he explained. "They offered me a few weeks after I was there on a visit, and I know Coach (Terry) Bowden liked my film a lot. I've spoken with them after they offered, and I think they have a great staff. I'm working hard to hopefully add more offers."

"I'm hearing from Bowling Green, West Virginia, Boston College, Indiana, Colorado, Duke, and a few others," he stressed. "I'm definitely going to go to Boston College for camp and to see the campus. I also want to get to Indiana and West Virginia, and probably a few others too."

After missing the first few games of the 2011 season due to mono, Worstell returned and threw for nearly 1,000 yards, completing over 60% of his passes.
