In Focus: Josh Cardiello

Georgia landed a commitment from offensive lineman Josh Cardiello on Saturday and you can find out what the Dawgs are getting here.

Prospect: Josh Cardiello
Hometown: Buford, Ga.
High School: Buford
Class: 2013
Position: Center
Size: 6-2/285
Scout Ranking: No. 3 C
Recruiting Notes: Florida was the first school to offer Cardiello, but it came down to Florida State and Georgia in the end. He decided he wanted to stay home and play for UGA.

Scouting Report: Cardiello is a very sound offensive lineman that could play guard or center on the next level. He has good feet, he is very good at the point of attack, and he is explosive off the ball. He plays tackle now, but will move inside at Georgia. He will most likely start out at center, but his ability gives the Dawgs flexibility with him and others on the OL. Cardiello plays at one of the top high schools in the country and he will enter college extremely prepared physically and mentally. He will be asked to make the move to the interior, but he has worked some at center and guard, so he understands what it is like playing those positions.
