This past weekend Jeremi Hall decided to go public with his commitment. "I gave Coach Buzz Preston my verbal commitment last week." Hall made his decision a few weeks ago. "I just decided to go public with it."
Hall and teammate Shamire DeVine had made it known that they wanted to attend the same school. "He really surprised me when he went public after our spring game." After thinking about it for a few days Jeremi decided to also make his decision public.
Jeremi has always liked Georgia Tech and the way Coach Preston handled his recruitment made his decision easier. "Coach Preston is great and I like him." Another winning point that entered into Hall's decision was Georgia Tech's location. "It is close to home and my family and friends can easily come see me play." The final piece of the puzzle was in place when Hall's teammate Shamire DeVine chose Tech. "It played a big part in my decision."
Now that he has made his decision, Hall has started doing some recruiting of his own. "I am working on Marcus Adams and a couple of others that are close to making a decision. I know from Coach Preston that Georgia Tech wants to have 14 or more recruits and I am number five, so I will be a big part in helping Tech recruit players."
Because of the holiday weekend Coach Preston is the only one that Hall has talked to about his decision. "I will be talking with the other coaches soon."
Look for Jeremi to start out at center when he arrives at Tech. "Coach Preston told me that I will start out at center and work my way out and they will put me at the position that they and myself feel I play the best." The Tech staff will be looking for a big body to fill the center position and Hall may fit that bill.
