The Abbeville linebacker is starting to earn the respect of college coaches as he landed scholarship offer number five on Tuesday. The 6'3 200 pound prospect who has helped Abbeville win back to back state championships is on a major upswing!

Picking up his fifth scholarship offer on Tuesday 2013 linebacker Kennan Gilchrist of Abbeville High School continues to impress college coaches. Schools across the southeast region are all taking a long look at the 6'3 200 pound prospect who helped Abbeville win their second consecutive state championship.

"I just got offered by Charlotte," Gilchrist texted us Tuesday evening.

The 49ers join previous offers for Air Force, Appalachian State, Furman, and Wofford.

Gilchrist spent this past weekend camping with the Kentucky Wildcats and he's hoping to pick up an offer from the SEC school as well.
