One of Colorado's most intriguing 2012 prospects is Aurora Grandview DB/WR Tanner Gentry. Standing 6-3 and running in the 4.5s, Gentry, who is equally adept on both sides of the ball, holds two offers and is gaining increasing recruiting interest.
As of now Gentry holds offers from Wyoming and Air Force and he is getting increasing contact from Arizona State and Colorado. In an attempt to gain offers from the Sun Devils and Buffs Gentry will camp with both squads. Regarding ASU and CU and potential offers Gentry Says, "They want me to come to camp and show my skills. They said if I do what they know I can do there is a good chance I will get an offer." Gentry, who was one of Colorado's leaders in interception last year, says Colorado would like him to play receiver while Arizona State wants him to work out at safety and receiver. Also part of Gentry's travels is the all Polynesian camp in Utah.
Currently Gentry lists Wyoming, Arizona State and Colorado as the teams he has the most interest in.
Grandview, a power in Colorado 5A football, returns a strong set of skill players headed by Gentry. Quarterback Reese Weber is having a strong offseason, while running back Isaiah Jackson is one of Colorado's better backs.
