Bloomfield Likes Aztecs

Louisville (Ky.) Ballard offensive tackle Joey Bloomfield talks San Diego State offer.

Louisville Ballard offensive tackle Joey Bloomfield could be on the verge of breaking out after an outstanding performance at the Memphis NIKE Camp.

Currently with six FBS offers, the 6'6, 300-lb Bloomfield reported to Scout that he added San Diego State on Monday night, and although it's not real close to home, he has a lot of interest in the Aztecs because of the staff.

"I have really been developing a great relationship with coach Tony White. We have a lot of things in common and he is very down to earth. The coaching staff is very energetic."

In addition, Bloomfield sees a lot of good on the horizon for the program and hopes to schedule a visit to see the campus first hand.

"I love how they are on the rise, especially with the Big East move. You can tell they will do big things. I am eager to make a trip out there and see the program first hand."

Bloomfield holds additional offers from Kansas, Colorado, Houston, Eastern Michigan and Wyoming.
