Richardson mulling early commitment

Harbor City (Calif.) Narbonne wide out A.J. Richardson is nursing a sore hamstring but is hopeful of getting back to full strength by the end of the summer.

Narbonne took on Los Angeles (Calif.) Cathedral in some 7 on 7 action a week ago but A.J. Richardson had to sit out to rest his hammy. It will also prevent him from taking part in any college camps although he'll take a handful of unofficial visits.

"Recruiting is good right now," Richardson said. "My last offer was from Nevada and I have five total now. San Diego State, Duke, Hawaii and Houston are my other offers and right now, I don't have any leaders among that group.

"Boise State is recruiting me really hard too and they sound like they could be close to offering and I really like them a lot. Washington is another school I like a lot and I'm going to visit them in the summer for sure. I also want to visit Arizona, Boise State and San Diego State."

Richardson said his best case scenario would see him making an early commitment if possible.

"I would love to do it in the summer," Richardson said. "I want to commit early so I can just get it out of the way and focus on my senior year and winning another L.A city title. I won't rush it just to commit but if the right offers come, I would love to do it in the summer."
