Haiden Nagel (Tampa, Fla./Sickles) is a middle linebacker prospect with one current scholarship offer. UMass offered him before the spring.

"They offered me back in late February," Nagel said. "I am close to UMass right now but keeping things open. I want to leave my options open and see what happens. UAB offered me when I was 15 but then they had a coaching change so I am not sure if the offer is still valid."

This spring Nagel visited both Georgia and Florida International and FIU and FAU are showing strong interest at this point though they have not offered him.

Nagel, 6-foot-2 and 225-pounds, recorded 95 tackles and three sacks last season as a junior.

"I have a nose for the ball and know how to get to the play quickly," Nagel said. "I can make all the checks and audible with what the offense is running. I am kind of like the quarterback of the defense."

Nagel will have a busy summer. He wants to camp at Florida Atlantic, FIU, Boston College, Iowa State and Massachusetts.
