Elias Set for Next Camp at UL

Dutchtown HS (Geismar, La.) DL David Elias next camp stop will be at Louisiana's Ragin' Cajuns Big Camp this Saturday, June 9th. The Cajun Redzone spoke with the (6'3,250) athlete about his plans Wednesday night.

"I'm headed to UL's camp Saturday the 9th," Elias stated. "Coach Rebowe came by spring and visited several times and I've kept up with them on facebook after the non-contact period. There still talking to me about playing at the 3 tech position, so Saturday will be interesting to see the competition."

David Elias is very familiar with UL's football program, have several former teammates on the current roster.

"I visited UL's spring football practice and their junior day as well," David mentioned. Darrien Batiste just enrolled in summer school up there and Effrem Reed signed with last year, so I'm very familiar with their program and what they have to offer."

David's busy camp schedule will continue over the next two months as he hopes to land a few more scholarship offers.

"Yes sir, after UL I'm heading to Texas A&M's camp Sunday," said Elias. Monday we are set to attend ULM's camp at St. Amant High School and then I'm headed to Mississippi State for a one-day camp. I'm also going to LSU and Louisiana Tech camps in July."

Elias is still holding three offers right now, but hopes his summer camp tour will lead to several more soon.

"Right now I have offers from Arkansas State, Southeastern Louisiana and McNeese State," David stated. "I think I'm pretty close to picking up several more over the next few weeks, so we will see what happens after the camps this month and in July."
