Judge set to decide Monday

Westlake Village (Calif.) Oaks Christian linebacker Cameron Judge was easily among the top defensive players at the recent NIKE Air Strike 7 on 7 tournament at Dana Hills. On Monday, the athlete said he'll make his college decision.

Cameron Judge was the top linebacker at Dana Hills and flashed his considerable upside. He has a great frame, runs well and showed a lot better mobility, particularly laterally, than expected. Judge flashes to the ball and plays with the kind of mean streak you need to have to excel at the college level.

On the recruiting front, the athlete said he's planning to end the process early and has made up his mind about where he plans to go to college.

"I'm going to commit on Monday," Judge said. "We have our team camp in the morning and then after we're done, which should be around noon, I'm going to go in to my coaches office and just make some phone calls.

"I'm not planning on having a big press conference or anything, that's not really me. I narrowed my list of schools down to five a little bit ago and then I narrowed it again to two. I made my decision but I just want to sleep on it before I announce anything on Monday."

The five schools Judge will choose from include Arizona, Arizona State, Boise State, UCLA and Utah. The buzz at Dana Hills had the Bruins being the potential leader but Judge wasn't ready to name favorites.

"I don't want list any leaders or even who my final two are," Judge said. "When I announce tomorrow, that will be it. I still may take a few visits but I'm a man of my word and I plan to sign with the school I commit to tomorrow. I want to get it done early so I can really focus on my senior year and help our team get better. I don't want recruiting to be a distraction."
