Gray Enjoys a Day at MSU

Hakim Gray has quietly become one of the more interesting prospects in north Louisiana. The North DeSoto star has collected a handful of options. Mississippi State was one of the first programs to offer and this past weekend, Gray was able to visit the Starkville campus and learn more about the program and the Bulldog coaching staff.

"This was my first time to come here," said Gray. "I like it here. It's a small town and I like that.

"I like all of the coaches. It was a great first impression."

While Gray is listed as a linebacker, he spent most of his camp reps working as a defensive end.

"Camp was great," said Gray. "I learned a lot and I got to go against a lot of competition.

"There were a lot of kids here who can ball just as good as I can."

Gray reports that he is still getting to know the programs that are showing him serious recruiting attention.

"The top offers are Tulane, Mississippi State of course, (Louisiana) Lafayette, Louisiana Tech and Southern Miss," said Gray. "I don't have any favorites.

"I am just laying back trying to see how it all plays out."

Gray reports that his next camping trip will be to LSU during the month of July.
