Seminoles first to offer 2014 lineman

Florida State saw film of one of the top 2014 prospects in the Peach State and they became the first school to offer him on Monday.

"I called Dameyune Craig and he is the coach that told me about the Florida State offer," Kendall Baker told Scout. "He told me they watched my film and liked it, so that is why they offered me. He told me I could play offensive or defensive line for them."

The Seminoles are the first school to offer the 6-foot-6, 270 pound junior out of Atlanta (Ga.) Marist.

He did not expect the news he received from Coach Craig.

"FSU had showed some interest, but I did not know they would be my first offer. I was excited about it and if feels really good to get my first offer."

Auburn, Florida, and Georgia among others have shown interest in the versatile lineman. He tore his ACL last year, so he missed the spring.

As more coaches see Baker, more schools will offer.

He plans to visit Tallahassee this summer.

"Florida State has always been on my radar and I have interest in them. I will be visiting this summer to meet with the coaches."
