"I'm committing and am excited to be a Panther," Harper said. "The coaching staff was just really excited talking to me on the phone and saying its great news."
Harper visited Pittsburgh Saturday, and received an offer after putting on an impressive camp performance.
"I was leaning towards committing and was thinking about committing after my visit," Harper said. "Then I decided that I wanted to be there and discussed it with my parents and they were behind it completely."
When Harper called to commit -- he had some exciting news for the coaching staff.
"Just let them know I'm committing and am excited to be a Panther. And they were just really excited talking to me on the phone and saying its great news."
Although Harper was debating camping other places this summer -- plans have changed.
"I'm done visiting and camping anywhere else," Harper said. "I'm all about Pitt!"
And he will be back to visit soon, for his mother to get a glimpse of his future school.
"I'm going back to visit Pitt saturday," Harper said.
