"The coaches were awesome. The process they put us through was extremely competitive. They started with over fifty quarterbacks and about after an hour they focused on about ten, and then narrowed it to four. A little later they pulled me off to the side and had me running drills and testing my skills in front of all Miami's top coaches. It was a lot of fun," he said.
Town also had the opportunity to familiarize himself with the campus.
"The campus tour was really cool, too. Miami's campus is extremely beautiful. The coaches were really cool. Very down to earth, genuine and people that love the game of football. My dad and I met with them for an hour after the camp," he said.
Town also had the chance to sit down with the coaches on Tuesday before heading back West.
"It was awesome! I spent a long time meeting with Coach Jedd Fisch, Miami's offensive coordinator. I asked if I could draw some plays and concepts on the board and he said sure. That went really well as he said he was very impressed and somewhat shocked from my understanding of the mental side of the game, regardless of my age," he said.
The 6'4", 190 lb. prospect left the meeting on a positive note.
"Coach Fisch and Coach [Al] Golden were very direct with me and I appreciated that. He said they had no plans of offering a 2015 QB but that my efforts have changed that," he said.
This will be Town's first season as the Seraphs starting quarterback, and he's looking forward to showcasing his talent.
"Coach Fisch also said they are heavily recruiting me and that they just want to see me play before offering me, so coach Fisch is coming to one of my games this year. They also want me to come to a Miami game as well," he said.
