Mycial Allen - S/WR - Detroit King
Allen made a lot of plays offensively for King. He got open and made plays after the catch and got over the top on a couple teams, catching deep touchdowns. He also patrolled the middle of the defense from his free safety spot and showed the speed and ball skills that may have new offers coming his way soon.
Pete Cender - TE - Howell
His team does a lot with him and today, he split out and played more tradionally from the tight end spot. He runs good routes, has great hands and a little more speed than he's usually given credit for. I really like what I saw from him today.
Davaun Williams - QB - Detroit King
The Crusaders quarterback has a good arm and carved up a few defenses today with good, accurate, crisp passes and good decision making. Williams has a lot of programs looking at him as he searches for his first offer.
Leon Alexander - S/WR - Detroit King
A great sized kid, Alexander showed athleticism and ball skills today in a long, lean frame. He's being recruited more as a safety, but had a really good day at wide receiver too. He has three offers and could be nearing more soon too.
Chance Stewart - QB - Sturgis
Stewart was solid today. He throws a catchable ball, has good touch and great size. We'd still like to see him continue to work on his mechanics and get a little stronger, but he has tools and a lot of intangible qualities we like too.
Carl Fuller - LB - Detroit King
This 2014 product already has a BCS offer from Syracuse and showed why today as he ran with and covered backs and receivers at 6'3. He's long and has a lot of room to fill out. On film, he was more of a blitzer, but he showed coverage ability today too.
Bart Williams - QB - Grand Blanc
The 6'5 rising senior had a very nice day. He was putting passes on the money and fit a few into some tight windows. He's developed since last season and looked more confident with his decisions and it showed. He's primed for a big year.
Marcus Smith - CB - Muskegon
Smith is not a real big guy, but he plays bigger than his 5'9 frame and makes a lot of plays. He was physical with receivers and did a good job in coverage today. I think he'll be a guy a lot of Division II schools give a very strong look to.
- Two highly touted linebackers, Michigan State commit Jon Reschke and Grand Blanc (Mich.) product Luke Maclean were in attendance, but in these events, it's sometimes hard for linebackers to get a ton of action coming their way, but both are good sized kids who move well and drop into space. Maclean's size and ability to do that along with being able to rush the passer enhances his worth and that's why he continues to add offers.
- Grand Blanc has a young kid named Malik Fisher who is a nice prospect for the future. His older brother (Tony Jones) plays at Northwestern and Malik is a fine athlete who played DB and WR today.
- Muskegon has a few more athletes coming up on their team too. Class of 2013 wide receiver Sherman Hodges and class of 2014 linebacker Will Hunt are two kids who stood out today.
