Hometown: St. Petersburg, Fla.
High School: St. Petersburg Catholic
Position: Running Back
Ranking on Scout: No. 18 RB / No. 128 Overall
Recruiting Notes: It came down to Florida, Florida State, and Notre Dame for one of the top running backs in the country. After spending a few days in Tallahassee, Green pulled the trigger, and committed to FSU.
Analysis: Green is a back with homerun speed and the ability to make a big play from anywhere on the field at anytime. He gives Eddie Gran and the FSU offense a real threat out of the backfield any time he gets his hands on the ball. He has great feet, he changes direction well, he has very good hands out of the backfield, he is elusive in the open field, and he is a great cut-back runner. He can still improve on running through tackles, getting those extra yards after contact, and being a better runner between the tackles. He is definitely known for most for his speed and that is one thing that attracted schools from coast to coast. He has gotten stronger this off-season, he has gained a little weight, and he plans to become a better all around running back this fall. The Seminoles are setting themselves up to be very good in the coming years at running back. After signing Devonta Freeman and James Wilder in 2011, they inked five-star Mario Pender in 2012, and they have Green committed for 2013 and Joseph Yearby committed for 2014.
