Dawgs have new target

Georgia had a few talented tight ends on their campus Saturday and one left with an offer.

"I was warming up for the second session and Coach Mark Richt pulled me aside and offered me a scholarship," Jordan Davis told Scout. "He told me that they liked me a lot, how I could be successful at Georgia, and it felt great hearing him say those things."

UGA has always been a school high on Davis' list, but this offer puts them right in the thick of the race.

"Georgia is in my top three now and they are in there with South Carolina and Florida.

"I came to the camp at Georgia looking for an offer and I got it, so it felt good. It could make my decision a little easier because UGA is like 'Tight End U' and I really like Coach Lilly, but I will be taking some more visits first."

The 6-foot-4, 225 pound tight end out of Thomson, Ga. will likely announce his decision later this summer.

"I have seen all three schools, so now I want me my mom too. After I visit them with her, I will know where I want to go. All three schools are pretty even right now," he said.
