Florida DB recaps six-school tour

Blake McClain is a standout defensive back prospect from Winter Park High and Scout caught up with him to discuss the latest.

"I just visited West Virginia, Pittsburgh, Illinois, Indiana, Cincinnati, and Kentucky this past week," Blake McClain said.

"West Virginia – It was nice. They have a good football program.
Pitt, I really, really liked it there because they share it with the Steelers. I have a good feeling about them.
Illinois, Coach Beckman came and talked to me. He said I'd be playing nickel or corner there and how they really want me.
Cincinnati was nice. I didn't get to meet the head coach but it was alright.
Kentucky, it's definitely gonna be one of my top schools. I got a good feel for the campus. The coaches showed me a lot of love, talked to me for about six hours. I have a good relationship with them and the head coach.
Indiana, they have great facilities.
All my visits were really nice. The coaches showed me a lot of love. They've all offered."

After visiting several schools and considering offers from 20+ schools, McClain has a few picked out that stand out above the rest.

"I like Kentucky, Illinois, Pitt, and West Virginia, and also USF. Those are my top schools. I'm gonna make my decision in July."

The standout defensive back prospect, who finished last season with 55 tackles, talked about what he'll be looking for in a school.

"I'll look at the relationship I have with the coaches. All my top schools, I have a good feeling about the campus and so I gotta pick what's best for me."
