Athletic Receiver Looking To Impress

Tallassee standout Dijon Paschal talks about his recent camp experience at Auburn and more.

Tallassee, Ala.—One of the top athletes in attendance at Auburn's recent one-day camp, speedy Dijon Paschal, is a player college coaches are already familiar with many wanting to take a longer look this season when he takes the field for the Tallassee Tigers.

Measuring in at just a shade under 6-1 and 179 pounds, Paschal ran a 40-yard dash time of 4.44 seconds, recorded a vertical leap of 33 1/2 inches, and had a shuttle time of 4.25 seconds. Those are the kinds of numbers that have already lead to several offers with more schools showing plenty of interest.

"Recruiting is going pretty good right now," Paschal tells Inside The Auburn Tigers. "I currently have offers from Arkansas State, South Alabama, Southern Miss and Troy. I'm also hearing from several bigger schools also."

One of those is the Auburn Tigers. Having the opportunity to work out for the coaches at the camp, Paschal said overall the experience was a good one for him.

"I think it went pretty good," Paschal said. "I came out here and did my events. I was excited to be there. It was kind of rainy, but I didn't want to let that stop me.

"I felt honored to be out there with all of those other great athletes and just trying to do my best," he added. "Competing is tough. Last year when I came they didn't have the indoor building so I was looking forward to seeing it. It looks pretty good. It's great."

With plans to camp at several more schools this summer, Paschal said he's hoping to get some good news from Auburn down the road as they get a chance to see more of him from last season on film and learn more about him as a person. He said until then he'll just keep working hard and see what happens.

"They haven't said anything yet," he said about an offer. "It would be great if it happens. Finally I'd have an SEC offer. I'd love to have it."
