Toledo 7v7 Offense: Murphy Is MVP

Jared Murphy won't be winning any awards for passing the eye test of football prospects, but the Columbia City wide receiver is unstoppable in 7on7 action. Murphy dominated the Toledo 7on7 Monday.

Much like Cincinnati wide receiver Shaquille Washington did two years ago, Columbia City (MO) slot receiver Jared Murphy is proving to be unstoppable in 7on7 action.

Murphy, 5-foot-8, 160-pounds, dominated the Toledo 7on7 Monday, scoring well over 20 touchdowns in five games and being impossible to cover one-on-one.

"The Glass Bowl is great and I loved playing in the tournament," Murphy stated. "This was awesome and I love competing against great players. We have qualified for the national tournament in Bradenton, and this was a good test for that."

"I thought I played very well and nobody could really guard me," he added. "I scored a lot and I never dropped one football, which is the most important thing to me."

A Miami commit, Murphy discussed why that was the right choice.

"Miami is a place I visited three times and I loved everything about it," he explained. "The school has everything I'm looking for, both educationally and football-wise. I just fell in love with the school, to be honest. My parents and I prayed about the offer, and I knew it was the right school for me."
