There's never a running back shortage in the Sunshine State nor is it ever too early to look ahead. A 2015 running back prospect that's already stirring up state and national interest is Jacques Patrick (Orlando, Fla./Timber Creek).

Out of the spring gate he landed his first two scholarship offers from Florida State and Florida. Since, he has received verbal offers from Auburn, Central Florida, Miami, Arizona, and Vanderbilt.

"Arizona and Vandy both offered me last night," Patrick said. "My goal my freshman season was to rush for over 1,000 yards. I rushed for over 1,200 and scored eight touchdowns. I guess the coaches all liked what they saw. I wasn't expecting any of this but I am very proud of it."

Patrick, 6-foot-1 and 210-pounds, will camp at Alabama on July 16th and then visit or camp at some other schools.

"When I leave Alabama I want to drive down and see Auburn on the [July] 17th," Patrick said. "Then I want to check out Georgia. I plan on camping at Florida State and Florida next month as well. And I know I will visit Miami very soon."
