Canes Land Ohio Lineman

The University of Miami landed a big commitment Wednesday night when Alex Gall told the coaches he's coming.

Miami will sign a relatively small recruiting class for the 2013 group but one of the biggest priorities will be offensive linemen. They're recruiting guys all over the country at that spot and on Wednesday night, they landed a kid they offered a few months back.

Alex Gall, 6-foot-5 and 295 pounds, committed to the Hurricane coaches today. The Cincinnati (Ohio) Moeller standout picked up an offer from the Canes a couple months ago and took a recent trip down to see the school and to meet the coaches.

Just a few days ago Gall told Scout that the five schools who stood out most to him were Miami, Wisconsin, North Carolina, Kentucky, and Michigan State. All but the Badgers had offered.

Gall, who projects as a right tackle at the college level, is a three-star prospect on Scout and becomes Miami's first offensive line commitment in the 2013 class.

Stay tuned on Scout for more coverage and analysis of this commitment.
